Barbados - Economist Intelligence Unit - The Economist

OVERVIEW: The Democratic Labour Party government enjoys a comfortable parliamentary majority and is not expected to have difficulty enacting its legislative agenda. We expect broad economic policy continuity. GDP growth is expected to slow in 2008 as tourism demand from the US and UK moderates. High energy and commodity prices will maintain pressure on the current account.
