| The Group's principal activities are to design, develop, manufacture and market variety of hand-held, portable and fixed-mount GPS-enabled products and other navigation, communications and information products. The Group operates in four segments: Marine segment offers a range of network products and multifunction displays, fixed-mount GPS/chartplotter products, and sounder products. Aviation segment offers GPS-enabled navigation, VHF communications transmitters/receivers, multi-function displays, receivers, instrument landing system (ILS) receivers and digital transponders. Outdoor/Fitness segment offers GPS-enabled handheld products for outdoor activities and training assistants for athletic pursuits. Automotive/Mobile segment offers automotive navigation products and applications designed for the mobile GPS markets. The Group markets its products to North America, Asia and Europe. On 03-Jan-2007, it acquired EME TecSat SAS and on 05-Jan-2007 Digital Cyclone Inc. |
